A Futile Dream

Strewn across by a gusty wind,
Scattered into innumerable pieces
Seemed lost among the woods,
The mynah craves for her nest
With hopes clinging to her crest,
Rising high across the stars
A dream too futile to seek
Yet with her efforts diluted,
She runs hither-tither
Picking up tiny specks,patiently
To rebuild her torn palace
A place worthy to live in
Shoving aside umpteen fears
I choose to stand aside
Yearn to burst out of the shell
To gleam, glow and glide
With tiny feathers
I fly high
Just to fall down.
Aware of my hurdles,
I continue my strife
With the rising sun,
My hopes rekindle,
My eyes sparkled
I believe, my thoughts
My dreams
No more distant
A day will come
Me and the mynah,
The helpless souls
Would stride ahead,
Among the beaming multitudes of smile
Dreaming doth,
On my grave lies,
A soul rests in peace.

Life's a game

Life's a game'
None to tame,
None to blame
No rules, no schools
To substantiate thy claims
Tried I hard, but in vain
To remove the stinking stain
Lest it make me blunt and plain
Forever I fall
Thinking never to rise
Guess, it's nature's call
Even ice melts at sunrise.
Tis true, I do have vices
But not possessed by malaise
Maybe I ain't so geeky,stud
Just a faintly unfurling bud
Colours might be fade
Neverthless,none yet so dead.
Who cares?
I 'm God's best bet
Though maybe I
The perfectly imperfect made!

Juvenile Jubiliation

hey... its a poem i wrote just after my class 10th board exams when there were a lot of suicide cases among the student community........

Juvenile Jubiliation
With exams approaching near
Time becomes so dear
What a pathetic situation
Seems everybody's in tension
Cramming upto seconds before,
Lest not we lag behind
Awaiting our death's galore
Strumming the nerves of our brain's doors
At last,an aura of jittery's over
jubliate,lets be jovial,
Come,lets celebrate till dawn's over
But lo!
Where are other guys?
Did everyone bade goodbyes?
To be at the forefront
Of a race,we everyday confront.
Money,pride,fame,
And of course,a pretty dame
Is this the world's all about?
I doubt.
They fail to make me proud
I fear,
Lest i be lost in the madding crowd
But,what's the buzz about?
Did anymore seed died before it sprout?
T'was his fault?
I dont know
Perhaps it was his destiny,
And of several others.

Race

Race
Life's a race
A grave and mad rat race
Where evryone has to fight
To survive or face their plight.
A race, rather an absurd fight'
Where we do long
To be in limelight
A cut-throat fight,
To show our might
And prove ourselves right.
A race of humanity
Or probably of an acquainted brutality,
Where there are massacres
Of love, unity and peace-stakers
Of poor,whose life's a dread
For the woes and want of bread.
Let life be a race
But not a craze
Rather it be a golden trace
Of gay,charm and grace.

Being a tree

Emerging in haunts of cuckoo
Which wreathe the lawns
I sparkle out as the bijou
Clinging to nature's apron
With my exquisite green dress
I make the air remain ever fresh
With my twigs stretched,
They find an abode to rest.
My flowers-temple's offering
My fruits-really nourishing
But with onset of winter at town
My green dress perish down
The cuckoo, the huming bee
All desert me.
But grit as ever
Never do I waver
I pray 'mighty thee'
For a shower of rain,
To get my dress again.
Slowly and slowly
As I unfurl my viel
Of my everlasting trail,
I wear my green dress
To begin my life afresh...
